Navigating Reporting
When you navigate to Reporting you will see the homepage with a list of all of your reports. On this page you will be able to perform a variety of tasks including:
- New Report - This button opens the page to build a new report from scratch
- AI Report Builder - Quickly build a report by typing in what type of report you need
- View Report - This button will open the results page with the most current data for your selected report
- Edit Report - This action will allow you to edit your report setting
- Delete Report - This action will delete your report
AI Report Builder
Skip the manual filters and build reports in seconds. Simply tell the AI what data you need, and it will instantly assemble a report for you.
The more specific you are, the better your report will be. To get the best results, always include the metric, the dimension/category, and the date range.

🔐 Data Security Note: Our AI report builder feature is powered by Google’s Gemini model through Freestar’s enterprise Google agreement. This means it runs within a secure, contractually governed environment that has been reviewed and approved by Freestar’s legal team. Customer data is never shared for use by a third party or used to train 3rd party models.
Report Settings
When you create a new report or edit an existing report, you will be able to choose from a variety of settings.
Report Name
(Optional) You can give your report a custom name to make it easily identifiable in your list of reports.
Date Range
(Required) Filter your report to a specific time period using preset or custom date ranges.
Report Template
(Required) The report type that determines which dimensions and metrics are available.
💡Tip: Not seeing the dimension or metric you're looking for? Try switching to a different template and use the search bar to find the report type you need.
Dimensions and Metrics
(Required) Select one or more dimension(s) and metric(s) to include in your report. Definitions for each dimensions can be found in the Data Glossary.

Filters
(Optional) Filter your report by specific dimensions value(s).
Schedule Report
(Optional) Set your report to be emailed to you and/or your team on a recurring schedule of daily, weekly, or monthly. You will have the option to adjust a variety of default settings around how and when you will receive your report.
Finalizing Your Report
Once you've made all of your selections, you have three options for running your report:
- Save and run report - This option will save your report to your "My Reports" list and will open the results page
- Run report - This option open the results page, but not save the report to your "My Reports" list
- Cancel - Return to the Reporting homepage without saving the report
Report Results
When you run a report from the Reporting homepage or from the "Create/Edit Reports" page, you will be directed to a page with all of your report results.
The results page includes information about the settings selected for the report and a table containing the data for your report which can be sorted.
Edit Report
To edit the settings for your report from the results page, select the "Edit" button.
Download Report
To download your report into a CSV file, select the "Download Report" button.
